The Western Regional Minister, Mr. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, has revealed that, the materials and equipment needed to construct the Agona Nkwanta to Tarkwa road have arrived at the Takoradi Harbour.

He said this on Sunday, July 4, during the thanksgiving service for the appointment of Mr. George Mireku Duker, as Deputy Minister for Mines and Natural Resources and also wining the election as Member of Parliament for the Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency.

According to him, a contractor has being assigned to the project and immediately the materials and equipment are cleared from the harbour, work will commence and the long awaited project in Tarkwa will be completed in no time.

He said “As I am speaking right now, machines such as bulldozers, excavators, graders and everything needed to construct the road has arrived at the Takoradi Harbour.”

“The construction of the road will begin from Tarkwa to Agona Nkwanta. This is an act by the NPP government to do whatever it takes to make the people of Tarkwa happy,” he added.
