The delegates conference which is ongoing to elect new party officers to steer clear the affairs of the governing New Patriotic Party, the NPP, is causing an unrest in replete constituencies in the country.
The police officers have arrested some hoodlums parading themselves in some polling stations just to instigate mayhem and catastrophe. Reports are widespread in the mainstream media that, party foot soldiers have taken the law into their own hands thereby terrorising those with the voting rights from casting their votes for their favourite candidates vying for the juicy positions in the party hierarchical alignment.
Earlier reports in the day confirmed that, some self acclaimed national security operatives stormed the voting centres of Ayawaso North in the Greater Accra region, parading and brandishing harmful weapons in the full glare of the public to put fear in people.
But due to the timely intervention of some industrious police officers on the ground, four of such national security operatives have been arrested, whilst others fled from the scenes helter-skelter.
