The 40-year-old person was found alive in a morgue cooler in the wake of being restricted there for seven hours, as per Metro UK.
As specialists showed up to distinguish the body and timetable a post-mortem with his family members, clinical staff were shocked when Sreekesh Kumar displayed indications of something going on under the surface.
After a mishap in the Indian city of Morabadad, Uttar Pradesh, the electrical technician’s family took him to the emergency clinic on Thursday.
He was declared dead not long after appearance, yet family noticed indications of action and informed doctors when police showed up the following morning.
‘He’s not dead, in fact far from it,’ Mr Kuma’s sister-in-law Madhu Bala exclaimed as she recorded the revelation.
What caused this to happen?
Look at him, he’s trying to say something, and he’s breathing.’
Dr Shiv Singh, Moradabad’s principal medical superintendent, called the incidence “the rarest of rare cases.”
He told the Times of India: ‘The emergency medical officer had seen the patient at around 3am and there was no heartbeat. He told me he had examined the man multiple times.
‘Therefore he was declared dead. In the morning, a police team and his family found him alive.’
Rajendra Kumar, the hospital’s medical superintendent described the situation as ‘nothing short of a miracle’.
After the shocking discovery Mr Kumar was taken back to hospital and was put on a ventilator as he remained in a coma.
Doctors were reportedly unable to operate on him because of a bleeding disorder and he eventually died yesterday.
Mr Kumar’s family said he had a clot in his brain and have since vowed to take legal action against all those responsible for his death.
Dr Singh said the district’s health department is now investigating the matter.
