Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has added it’s voice to a peaceful protest against bad governance and police brutality turn bloody in some parts of West African Nigeria.
ECOWAS expressed its condolences to families of those who have lost their lives during the protests and urged security operatives to handle matters professionally.

This press release follows reports of alleged killings by security forces in Nigeria during a peaceful protest in Lekki after a 24-hour curfew had been authorised by the government in Lagos.
