There has been uneasy calm in Ejura following the killing of protestors by security forces on Monday.

Armed soldiers on the said day opened fire into a group of unarmed civilians who were protesting the murder of a social media activist, Mohammed Ibrahim Kaaka.

The protest was over the refusal of the Ejura police to open an investigation into the murder.

The late Kaaka was killed with stones and sticks on Saturday night by a mob.

He died later at the Komfo Anoakye Teaching hospital in Kumasi.

The death sparked the protest as the residents

believed he was targeted and killed for exposing

the incompetence of the MCE.

To the utter shock of the entire townspeople, armed security forces emerged with water tankers and other dangerous arsenal and starting shooting at the protestors, leading to the massacre of the two young men.

Following the protest, three men believed to hit squad of the Ejura MCE, were arrested by the Ashanti regional police command.

There is another one called Bala said to be the ringleader taking direct orders from Sualisu Bamba and making sure they are executed by any means by these men.

These men were said to have threatened the deceased Kaaka to stop his #FixTheCountry activities or face their wrath.
