I’ll suppress and repress corruption, Agyebeng reiterates first day at work

The freshly appointed Special attorney, Kissi Agyebeng, has reiterated his resolve to suppress corruption to the barest minimum.

Interacting with the media on his 1st day in workplace, man Agyebeng aforementioned he’s committed to making sure the constitutional provision that established the workplace of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) is strictly adhered to.

Kissi Agyebeng swore the Oath of workplace and also the Oath of Secrecy on Thursday, August 5th as administered by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Flagstaff House.

After hunting vetting by the Appointments Committee, Parliament nemine contradicente approved his nomination.

He becomes the person to occupy the workplace when Martin Amidu resigned in Nov, 2020 amidst some controversies.

After being taken around the workplace by the Deputy Special attorney, Cynthia Naa Torshie Lamptey, the Special attorney said:”We square measure kick-starting promptly.

“As I promised Ghanaians during my vetting, we are going to deliver our mandate as per the Act and LI and ensure corruption is suppressed and reppressed to the barest minimum.”

Prior to his appointment, Kissi Agyebeng has been a lecturer at the University of Ghana Law school for fifteen years, teaching and researching legal code, International Humanitarian Law, law, company Law, and Legal analysis and Writing.
