The Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency, Xavier-Francis Sosu has documented a claim against the Inspector General of the Ghana Police Service.
In the suit located by GhanaWeb, the MP is requesting an Accra High Court to arrange for the requirement from his right to opportunity of development, right to dissent and illustrate, right to individual freedom, right to opportunity of articulation and right against unlawful capture and vindictive indictment.
He is additionally requesting a request for Stay of every single Criminal Investigation and procedures by the Ghana Police Service and the Inspector General of Police against him.
The Madina MP in the wake of driving his constituents in an exhibit against awful streets on October 25, 2021, has had the police on his tail with charges of obstructing streets and obliteration of public property during the dissent.
Having fizzled over and over to impact the MPs capture, the Ghana Police Service has recorded a criminal body of evidence against the MP who is a basic freedoms legal advisor.
He still can’t seem to show up in court on the matter. The Speaker of Parliament has kept in touch with the court sitting on the matter that he can not be available at hearings as he is taking care of Parliamentary obligations outside the locale of the country.
