COVID-19 has had an impact on all of us, and in a recent interview with British Vogue, multi-faceted entertainer Beyonce said the pandemic and recent civil unrest has encouraged her to make a major change in her music career.
Beyonce, who covered the magazine, said:
“It would be difficult to experience life in a pandemic and the current social unrest and not be changed. I have learned that my voice is clearer when I am still. I truly cherish this time with my family, and my new goal is to slow down and shed stressful things from my life.”
She spoke on her time in music and said:
“I came into the music industry at 15 years old and grew up with the world watching, and I have put out projects nonstop. I’ve spent a lot of time focusing on building my legacy and representing my culture the best way I know how. Now, I’ve decided to give myself permission to focus on my joy.
While Beyonce may be taking a break from music, it doesn’t look like she’s slowing down on developing and realizing her creative ideas. She just released her second offering in her Ivy Park line of casual athletic attire with Adidas online on Thursday (October 29). The items are inclusive of a variety of sizes from XXXS to 4X and different color themes as well.
