18 year old sentenced to 30 years imprisonment for robbery


Techiman Circuit Court sentences one Inusah Nurudeen 18 into 30 years imprisonment for unlawful entry and robbery

The Techiman Circuit Court presided over by His Lordship Alexander Graham has today (Thursday 5th August) sentenced an 18 year old Pragia rider Inusah Nurudeen into 30 years imprisonment for unlawful entry and robbery.

According to the court, the accused person Inusah Nurudeen a resident of Wangaraline in Techiman unlawfully entered the room of one Abena Tiwaa a trader who also resides at Wangaraline in Techiman and robbed her of her Itel mobile phone valued Gh 500.00, a Nokia phone valued GHC 400.00 and a lady’s hand bag valued GHC 150.00 and stabbed her twice on the left arm with a Screw driver.

After the court ruling on Thursday 5th July 2021, Chief Inspector C.Y Setorglo who led the Police investigation team spoke in an interview with Asta Fm’s Kofi Antwi in Techiman cautioned youths in the area to desist from robbery.

Chief Inspector C.Y Setorglo further advised the youth in Techiman to desist from robbery and other criminal activities since the Police is alert and will made them face the law when apprehended.

He finally urged the general public to assist the police in dealing with criminals in our communities by providing them with information.

He also appealed to community members to always monitor the steps of strangers who come to their communities and report any suspected criminal behaviors of such persons to the police for investigations.
